After a breakup your tendency is to rush after your ex boyfriend and get him back before he finds someone else. Of course this is the exact opposite tactic to the one you used to get him in the first place. So, instead of taking you in his arms, he pulls farther away. The reason for him pulling away is, you are showing yourself to be needy and desperate. Men do not find that type of woman very attractive.
When he first met you, he saw a happy self confident woman and that is what attracted him to you. Then you played hard to get and he was challenged and chased you. But, if you would have chased him and told him you could not live without him, he would have run the other way. The difference then was, you had your emotions under control and you were not afraid of losing him.

Get reconnected with your family and go out with your girlfriends and have some fun. You have to do things to take your mind off of your ex boyfriend.
He will be aware of your activities and the fact that you have made no attempt to contact him. It will not be long before doubts begin to enter his mind. He will be thinking that maybe he should not have taken you for granted after all. He will also have the same feelings you were having. Your ex will feel that if he does not act fast to get you back, you will find someone else.
Men do not like to lose what they feel is theirs and he still considers you his girlfriend. By giving him plenty of time and space, you have been playing hard to get. Now, you seem to be unattainable to him again and he will be challenged to get you back. Just do not be too easy for him to catch. Although you ache to be in his arms again, you will have to let him chase you first and never let him take you for granted again.
