If your boyfriend told you , he needed a break from the relationship, it probably threw you into a panic. You started to cry and beg him to change his mind. That is exactly what he expected you to do. His male ego makes him think that you are so in love with him that you will wait for him forever. He thinks that he can go out and have fun, maybe date other women and you will be by your phone waiting for his call. This should make you angry enough to never speak to him again, but you love him and he knows you do. Although you do not want to lose him for good, you do not have to be treated this way. You can blow his ego apart and make him desperately plead for your love.
The very first thing you have to do is stop crying and get a grip on your emotions. You cannot fall into his trap and let him know you cannot live without him. Once he feels you are at his mercy, you will be sitting by your phone until you are old and gray. Show him you are strong and mature enough to accept the breakup and move on. Let him see that you do not care and you can have a life without him.
The reason you are so desperate, is you think he does not love you anymore and you have lost him forever. You are wrong. If he did not love you, he would have ended the relationship for good. By saying he needed a break, he is keeping you on hold in case he wants to come back. You have to show him you will not wait and he may be losing you. Show him that you do not need him by going out with friends for a good time. This will surprise him and he will think he had better check in with you.
Your ex will send a friendly email, asking how you are doing. This will be to see how fast you answer. If you answer right away, he will know you are still waiting. If you do not answer, he will call. Let him leave a message. After a few days of him sending emails and leaving messages, call him back and ask him why he is trying to contact you. This will stun him because he thought you would be overjoyed to hear from him.
You have just shown him that you are not waiting around for him to call and you were not even expecting his call. Your ex boyfriend will see that he has some work to do if he wants you back and it better be quick if he does not want to lose you. When men think they are losing something they chase it and your ex will soon be chasing you.
